BEETLES, BREW & BARBECUE DRAWS BIG POST HARVEY CROWD

BEETLES, BREW & BARBECUE DRAWS BIG POST HARVEY CROWD

More than 9,100 hurricane-weary festival goers attended the seventh annual Beetles, Brew & Barbecue event held recently at the historic downtown Depot in Tomball.  The record-breaking numbers were 2,500 above the 2016 festival attendance.

Beetles, Brew & Barbecue  is Tomball’s own Texas style Oktoberfest with more than 100 classic Volkswagen “Beetles”, Houston area craft breweries, barbecue and live music.

The City’s fall festival season continues with the Freight Train Food Truck Festival on Saturday, October 21st from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Thirty of the Houston’s area top rolling gourmet kitchens are scheduled to attend.  The Grateful Geezers and the Posse will perform throughout the day.

The sixth annual Tomball Bluegrass Festival is Saturday, October 28th at the depot.  Performers will include the Lone Mountain Band, Pine Island Station, Border Town Ramblers, and Travers Chandler & Avery County.  There’ll be food and merchandise vendors, kids zone and the “Shade Tree Jam” for pickin’ and grinnin’ in the courtyard at Granny’s Korner on Market Street at South Walnut. The Tomball Bluegrass Festival is sponsored in-part by K-Star 99.7FM and Residence Inn – Marriott in Tomball.

Admission and parking are always free at Tomball’s city signature festivals and events.  For more information, call 281-351-5484 or visit “Tomball Texan For Fun” on Facebook.  Tomball is just 28-miles northwest of downtown Houston on FM 2920 at State Highway 249.
